Will Health Insurance Really Saves Money?
Posted by | Posted in Health | Posted on 22-03-2009

Health insurance is a type of an insurance whereby the insurer pays the medical costs of the insured, if the insured becomes sick due to covered causes or due to accidents. A health insurance policy is a legal binding contract between the insurance company and the insured.
Health insurance benefits are many. Health insurance is termed also as accident insurance, sickness insurance and medical insurance. Health insurance is purchased generally, with no assurance of renewability and if renewable no guarantee that premium rates will not increase.
Before getting the health insurance a person who wants to insure, may ask to fill a comprehensive medical history. In that they came to know about whether the person suffered from any disease or he/she has some bad habits such like that. Regarding that the person can claim for insurance with some restrictions.
In our scheduled commitments it’s very essential to maintain our healthcare in the day-to-day life. You can save money for health insurance by joining in an association that allows members to get together in a local chamber of commerce for the insurance. The money we spent for health insurance will be affordable like our day to day expenses.
Health insurance costs rising in all the time. Many people feel that they cannot afford for health insurance. Some feel they don’t need it, because they are healthy and fit. But it’s wrong. If you think that you need health insurance, there are lots of ways to get affordable health insurance for yourself and to your family. It is a protection against the health problems that could happen in the future. It’s a precaution. We have to go by the proverb ‘Prevention Is Better Than Cure’.
Health insurance can be classified into two classes- indemnity plans and managed care plans. The basic difference between the two is that while in indemnity plan the insured has the right to approach any doctor and get indemnified of all or a part of the medical expenses; in managed care plans, the insurance company will restrict the insured’s choice of doctors and hospitals. The insurance company has entered into an arrangement with select doctors and hospitals for the health care needs.
Each health insurance company has its own set of policies and procedures. If you have a large claim, you will want to review the rules especially carefully. Many claims are denied over a simple technicality. Knowing the process is likely to help you make sure your claim does not get denied.
Remember, insurance companies are hoping that you will not need medical services. That is how they make their money. If you don’t use your insurance, the insurance company just gets to keep it. You will notice that the bigger the claim, the more paperwork you will need to fill out and the more red tape you will need to wade through.
If you receive medical services that should be covered by your insurance, make sure that the doctor or hospital files the appropriate forms. Make sure that you file any forms that you need to in a timely manner. If you have any questions, call the insurance company directly and find out the answer. Make notes of whom you speak to and when.
Health insurance really saves your money. In case, if you met with an accident or you suffer from severe attack. That time you may not in the position to spend that much of amount. But if you applied for a health insurance, it may saves your money otherwise you can claim for the amount that you had spent. In some cases they may not take into account about insurance that time you may spend your money and later you can claim for the amount you spend by providing proper documents and you can reimburse the amount you spend on it, if it’s reasonable according to the instructions.
Insurances can be manage by both lower and higher level peoples. Every state has a Medicaid program but the requirements vary from state to state. All you have to do is to fill out the application and submit the documentation about your finances. This program covers the insurance needs of the entire family including dental care, eye care, doctor visits, emergency care, prescriptions and more.
Another option for cheap health insurance is to look on the internet. There are lot of companies that offers different type of health insurance plans. It is possible to find out the perfect for your family. The costs vary from one to other, so it’s in your hand to verify about it and choose a better company among others. Any way health insurance safeguards your family from the expenses that you spend for your health.

Real Health Care Reform This past weekend, the House passed the Health Care Reform bill. But do we really know what true health care is? Health care involves an open-minded doctor and an active patient. When we don’t have those, we don’t have health. Our heath care system is broken for a reason. Health is not convenient. And convenience is all Americans seem to know. Are you truly ready to get healthy? What health care coverage does a congressman have? What happens to it when they leave office?America faces a health care crisis. How can Congress or the Senate much care if they have top notch health care coverage and the taxpayers pay for it?

When indigent patients come to the ER for general health care, it is the doctors, nurses and hospital, as well as other services such as the lab, medications… that pay. In the long run, it is the insured that pay, because prices of health care will rise to cover the charity costs. Some of the monies can be written off of the taxes of the hospitals, but, that leaves a lot left over for the insured to cover.

This is not a question. This is a rant. And an ill-conceived one, utterly devoid of compassion or accurate facts.
Recently I visited a doctor and, over the course of 15 minutes of smalltalk, racked up a $600 out of pocket expense. I had health insurance I was purchasing myself, at considerable expense, but that that wasn't structured to pay such "small" fees. I couldn't afford better insurance anymore than I could afford that medical bill. I'm likely better educated than you, have a permanent address, and am a good credit risk. I'm attractive, middle class, and smell good. But if I were to become seriously ill or injured, I'd lose literally everything including, most likely, my health insurance plan. There are millions of people like me.
Do you think medical bankruptcy, a cause of nearly 60% of bankruptcies, is good for the economy? Do you think having your so-called indigent people able to obtain medical care only at ERs at considerable cost and often loss when regular, preventive visits to a GP would prevent most major health problems is fiscally sound? Do you think?
Why do I get thes baby health videos as an add when I open youtube? Its fuckin annoying. I would not mind these retarded videos otherwise perhaps, but it make me sick to open something good on youtbe and then hear this fuckin baby sound in background. I think I hate babies now. Plese stop making this lame shit.
i didn’t start talking till i was almost 5…
F.A.A.P. ARE YOU SERIOUS?
I think you're full of shit. You can't fool everybody about your fake beliefs, Jezebel. God didn't create us to be stupid. Health insurance has nothing to do with our spiritual relationship with God. I suggest you quit trying to foist your fake beliefs on people. After all…..God is watching everything you do!
I don't have an answer directly, but I have noticed that AARP is forever sending me information that includes insurance. Since it is a membership organization, they can get group plans that make things pretty reasonable. It's at least a start in your research.
There may also be long-term plans that need to be looked into specifically, but if your real problem is covering the next five years, you need to have some idea of what she can expect to do when she is eligible for Medicare, and look for an insurance company that knows how to interact seamlessly (do the paperwork for you) to collect your benefits most efficiently. The modern thing is you have one card, and they can change things around in the computer according to what you need. You don't need to keep shopping around.
If she's generally healthy now, and has the good sense to take care of herself reasonably, she really has to figure on getting three digits together in some reasonable comfort. By the time she gets there, it will have become relatively common. Our old age statistics are going to show even more amazing improvements in the next ten years or so, as the medical improvements made for the benefit of aging Baby Boomers has its first and most dramatic effect on people who are already older, but healthy.
No offense, but I think you ought to not get your information from random e-mails someone sent you! Go get your facts from a reputable source.
Compared to the costs of not bringing in any reforms, yes these reforms will save money.
It surprises me that so many Americans seem not to be aware about Obama’s healthcare plans [a]. During the election, he campaigned for these changes stating that he felt it was unfair to have a system where insurance companies try to escape paying claims and was elected to bring in changes [b].
First of all, too many people do not know that Obama wants to make insurance more available to all. His system is similar to that which works in Holland, Taiwan [c] and Switzerland. It works there and private healthcare companies provide most the insurance to the people there.
FACT – the USA spends more on healthcare PER PERSON than any other nation on the planet [d].
FACT – insurance companies admit that they push up costs, buy politicians and do not pay out for many claims when they should [e].
FACT – the US has higher death rates for kids aged under five than western European countries with universal health coverage [f].
That means that a dead American four year old would have had a better chance of life if they were born in Canada, France, the Netherlands, Cuba, Switzerland, Germany, Japan etc, all of which have universal health coverage. And no western European nation with universal healthcare has moved away from it. And the sad thing is, that the insurance companies have spent loads of money to fight these reforms [g] and loads of politicians are taking the thirty pieces of silver from them to fight the reforms, rather than fight for the health of the American people.
Remember, I back my facts up with evidence. Those who say they are wrong tend not to. If they are wrong, e-mail me with proof and let me know.
