Where To Find The Most Affordable Health Insurance
Posted by | Posted in Personal Health | Posted on 18-07-2009

Almost everyone right now is looking for the best deals that they can find in every aspect of their lives. Everyone wants to save money. People are especially concerned about finding affordable health insurance. Where should they look however? Most people would look to the Internet as the best place or information. Some would rather rely on word of mouth. Most people need to go through their company however.
The Internet can be a great place to look for affordable health insurance. One has tons of information quite literally at their fingertips. It can be hard to sort through all the information though. Also factual information is often clouded by adds. One may find him or herself searching for hours for the right information. Just because a few companies are the first ones to appear in a search does not mean that they are offering the best rates. It takes a lot of research. One also runs the risk of running into fake insurance sites or worse. However if one does find a respectable site, that lets you even compare to find the most affordable health insurance, then looking online has paid off.
Since looking online can be such an ordeal, many people rely on word of mouth. There are problems with that as well though. For instance, although your friend may have had a really good experience with their health insurance, it may not be the right insurance for you. It may not even be affordable health insurance at all. Health insurance companies like to take a person’s medical history into consideration when giving a quote after all. Another problem with relying on word of mouth is that it does not get a full spectrum of information. There are all sorts of health insurance companies out there. The most affordable health insurance plan for you could be with any of them and your friends may not have ever heard of what you really need.
Most people need to rely on their companies to choose what health insurance they get. Companies are hopefully being well informed about what different plans are out there. A person really needs to rely on him or herself in life though, and one should make sure that what his or her employer is choosing is really the most affordable health insurance for his or her employees. Employers after all also need to get their information from somewhere. In fact for some companies, it may be just the way to move higher in the company. An employee that goes the extra mile to find the most affordable health insurance for the company is definitely showing his or her value. That can be an important thing in this economy.

Help answer the question about personal health insurance
How do I find affordable, personal health insurance at age 54?Kaiser would not take me back, after I had lapsed. I am normal, with aches and pains of most anyone, but afraid of being denied coverage at any new application!
I am about to re-appeal my Kaiser denial. I need a real person to contact at Kaiser Individual Plan Appeals in Pasadena. Also, anyone know of a Kaiser patient advocate (or similar title)? Third, Who should I contact at the CA Dept of Managed Care, if necessary? Thanks!

It's horrible and this is another thing that Democrats are responsible for. This was mandated though the HMO Act, ironically authored by Ted Kennedy.
"We should remember that HMOs did not arise because of free-market demand, but rather because of government mandates. The HMO Act of 1973 requires all but the smallest employers to offer their employees HMO coverage, and the tax code allows businesses – but not individuals – to deduct the cost of health insurance premiums. The result is the illogical coupling of employment and health insurance, which often leaves the unemployed without needed catastrophic coverage.
While many in Congress are happy to criticize HMOs today, the public never hears how the present system was imposed upon the American people by federal law. As usual, government intervention in the private market failed to deliver the promised benefits and caused unintended consequences, but Congress never blames itself for the problems created by bad laws. Instead, we are told more government – in the form of “universal coverage” – is the answer. But government already is involved in roughly two-thirds of all health care spending, through Medicare, Medicaid, and other programs."

They don't care, it makes them feel good. There is NO doubt that if medicine is socialized in the US quality will suffer……
MyEthereality GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR ASS!!!! Read (if you can) the information in the description…here let me make it easier for you:
“Cesar was born and raised in Arvin,California, a small town in the Central Valley. Cesar shares his mother Marthas story. Martha came to the United States from Mexico and has worked for nearly 40 years. “
Osirysteamo, subscriber below, I agree with you. It is so sad and upsetting when I hear people say that Obama is a communist or a socialist because they are puttng a label on him, judging him, and stereotyping him. I’ve even heard it on Christian television and radio. I thought those were the people that cared about people and helping them but I hear a lot of Christian radio and tv judging our president and calling him names. It’s not right.
Republicans, health insurance companies are feeding this idea that Obama is trying to socialize the health care system–Obama wants ALL people to have access to health care—it is something good. SAY NO TO COMERCIALIZED HEALTH–FOR PROFIT HEALTH CARE—SAY NO TO THE SYSTEM WE HAVE NOW–SAY YES TO A REFORM!!!1
If you read between the lines, you would realize that nationalized health care would eliminate the government programs for needy people ie, medicare, medicaid, section 8, food stamps. Earning minimum wage would be enough for a person to have a place to live and be able to eat. But when a Dr. visit costs three days pay, or filling a cavity costs 4 days pay, or a prescription costs a week’s pay, you give up. You are going to be on the streets anyway.
This situation is NOT uncommon, it happens every day. People die every day because of NO medical care, but the republicans don’t give a dam.
We need the public option. The insurance companies will screw us without it.
The Republicans want to help the rich and screw the poor. They dont care about the majority of people.
They want to cut taxes for the rich, but then there is less money for social programs for the poor and middle class. Republicans don’t want a public option, because there insurance buddies wouldn’t be able to make as much money.
To the blue dog democrats, dont be traitors. Get back to your democratic roots.
year ago my husband suffered from hair loss too and he started trying everything you can imagine to stop his hair loss. the things that really worked for him was:
1) Vitamin A – an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;
2) Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The 'B' vitamins contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation;
3) massage is also beneficial. Massage stimulates circulation. As already noted, good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Experts suggest a few minutes of daily head massage by hand. Circulation through massage may be improved by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base with massage;
4) Try rubbing your scalp with garlic juice, Onion Juice or Ginger Juice(you can either of one out of three, Do not mix any of two or three);
5) also he used herbal treatment – TrichoZed
It is a good product that helps prevent hair loss and it is an FDA approved product. I think it is very important!
It worked and still works for him!
I do not know if any pharmacies carry TrichoZed but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here http://www.trichozed.com/?id=fc7a24
It enhances hair growth by blocking DHT (Dihydrotestostrone) – a major cause of hair loss!
good luck!
Yes he is ripping the Constitution to shreds and none of his followers can see it.
What the HELL is WRONG with you people???? I’ve never read some many heartless comments in my life!!!! How do you people even sleep at night???
I don’t give a CRAP if this man is PURPLE, he is having to watch his mother die before his own eyes because of a system that DOESN’T WORK! What part of that DO YOU NOT GET?????!!!!!!!!!!!!
The President isn't comparing apples to apples. You can't compare having to carry auto insurance and health insurance for 1 simple reason – you don't HAVE to own a car. If you CHOOSE to own a car, carrying auto insurance (specifically liability insurance) is required.
If I don't drive a car, should I have to pay a penalty that supposedly lowers the insurance premiums for everyone else??? Hell no!!! By forcing those who choose not to carry insurance to pay a penalty, it is a tax, plain and simple.
You can hate insurance companies all you want (I'm looking at you Deb M)…they are only the way they are because the Federal and State governments have let them. Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution gives Congress the power to regulate interstate commerce (the same section Dems claim allows them to set up a gov't option). By allowing the states to set up their own rules for the sale of health insurance and not allow any company to compete freely, they are adversely affecting consumers. That is a perfect example of where Congress must step in and put a stop to it. Why they haven't probably has to do w/ campaign contributions to both sides.
By allowing the free sale of health insurance, you now force hundreds of companies to compete for your business (just like how car insurance is sold, to take an analogy from the President). That forces rates down, service and value up. Only good things for consumers can come from that.
Why don't we start by enforcing the rules already written in our Constitution and fixing Medicare before we try to rewrite an industry from scratch? Who knows, we may find we don't need to do that much once the free market has altered incentives.
I had idea that the American healthcare system was so bad,.
A lot of people are afraid to get treatment not because they’ll be turned away, but because they’ll be chased for the money later. The more ill you are, the worse that bill is likely to be.
The only power grab of recent note was the Bush administration's attempts to railroad congress with things like the secretly drafted energy bill, illegal wiretapping of citizens, replacement of judicial appointees because of their political or religious convictions … the list goes on. I find the critique pitifully short on details and facts and based entirely on hearsay. Does it cite any pages or paragraphs in the legislation? NO. This is not a scholarly article. It is the ranting of a partisan bloviator. He should bloviate up his own a– and stop wasting our time.
