Where should I look for personal health insurance?
I recently lost my job due to cutbacks, so my benefits at work have ended. I am single so it is just me, and no major health problems, but I don't want to be without any insurance. Especially at age 47. COBRA seems awfully expensive, I was just wondering where a good place is to look for insurance until I find a new job. I am in Indiana BTW

  1. Your "theory" works, except you are placing a bet. A bet you won't have something really bad happen. It only takes a second.

I was pouring very hot cooking oil into a new container and ended up sloshing some of it onto my hand. I had second degree burns (not third degree). I spent 7 days in a burn unit, had a skin graft, and therapy for a year afterward.

It was only one hand and it cost over $30,000 when all was done. That would blow your savings.

  2. Actually, no. But loads have and many have not understood it properly.

I am amazed that so many Americans are not aware about Obama’s healthcare plans. During the election, he campaigned for these changes stating that he felt it was unfair to have a system where insurance companies try to escape paying claims.
Remember, he was elected to bring in these changes, elected by the American people who want healthcare reform. And he discussed his plans in debates with McCain, and he still won the election.
First of all, too many people do not know that Obama wants to make insurance more available to all. His system is similar to that which works in Holland, Taiwain and Switzerland. It works there and private healthcare companies provide most the insurance to the people there.
FACT – the USA spends more on healthcare PER PERSON than any other nation on the planet.
FACT – insurance companies admit that they push up costs, buy politicians and do not pay out for many claims when they should.
FACT – the US has higher death rates for kids aged under five than western European countries with universal health coverage.

That means that a dead American four year old would have had a better chance of life if they were born in Canada, France, the Netherlands, Cuba, Switzerland, Germany, Japan etc, all of which have universal health coverage. And no western European nation with universal healthcare has moved away from it.

Remember, I back my facts up with evidence. Those who say they are wrong tend not to. If they are wrong, e-mail me with proof and let me know.

  3. Your video was referred to me through a member of Caboodle, can you sell insurance in Florida?

  5. No. & I won't. It's ridiculous. Feds whine & complain about mutual fund prospectuses being too hard to read….lambaste the credit card companies for vague language & here they try to shove a 1000_ page bill down our throats written in the same vague, lefgalese they rail about. No, thank you.

Keep it simple. So most of the dumbed-down public school educated masses can understand it.

  6. Obama and his socialist friends wants the citizens of the united states to all be puppets on a string so he and big goverment can control our every motion.

Kind of like a bee hive. The Queen sits there and gets fat and rich while everyone else works there butt off to get nothing in return. Sounds fun. Sign me up.

  7. I don't really know what you're asking because I just skimmed over it, but I can tell you I am a college student who is living in poverty with an incurable disease I cannot afford the medication for because I don't have health insurance.

HAAAHHH How my life has changed since 2008.
