Many leading health insurance companies operate in Ohio.Ohio health insurance companies offer similar services and products and their rates are regulated by the state. If you are shopping around for health insurance in Ohio, you first need to decide on what your policy should cover and then compare the different plans that Kentucky health insurance providers have on offer.

A Spectrum of Affordable Health Insurance Options

Established health insurance companies in Ohio offer their customers excellent customer service, competitive rates and a wide range of products and service. Leading health insurance carriers include Anthem, Humana and Medical Mutual of Ohio.

Anthem’s BCBS cost-effective health insurance plans include indemnity plans and managed care, which could include an HMO or PPO. You have a greater choice of health care providers with indemnity plans. This is unlike Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) plans which operate through a network of doctors, hospitals, and other providers.  In Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plans, a group of doctors, hospitals and other providers agree to provide services to the members of a health plan.

HumanaOne of Humana Inc. includes flexible, affordable health insurance plans for individuals and families. Early retirees, recent college graduates, entrepreneurs and those who are not insured through an employer are well covered by HumanaOne.  You can even choose one plan and then customize it by adding on more products and services at an additional cost.

Medical Mutual offers personal health insurance for individuals – from 6 weeks to 64 years old. Those without access to group health insurance can avail of affordable individual insurance for routine health and preventive needs, plus protection from   unexpected contingencies. The company offers standard and value plans with a wide range of deductible levels, HSA-compatible plans and short-term (six months) plans, including prescription drug coverage. Dental and/or vision insurance can be added on with any of these plans or as a stand-alone benefit.

Does anyone know how much salary a Personal Health Assistant makes?
This job is not medically involved. Its where you go to someones home whether they have had an accident or are elderly and need help with maybe going shopping or getting them to their appointments or helping with personal grooming or just companionship.

  1. Personal responsibility for my own medical care thanks. I don't want the government to control me, especially when it comes to my health, any more than it does.

Also, the government is inefficient at getting anything done. Think about this, what if you were sick and needed to go to the hospital? If the government ran the place, it would run like the DMV – long lines and nothing gets done.

Health care is not a right, it's a privilege. If you can pay for it, it's yours. If you can't pay for it, go get a job like the rest of us.

  2. You can easily check your minimal health care rates in internet, for example here – health-quotes.talk4fun.net

  3. If I am willing to pay more to a doctor for treatment then why should I have to wait behind those who pay less?

That’s what I don’t get about single payer.

Single payer puts people who work hard and make the right lifestyle and financial decisions throughout their lives on the same level as those who do not.

If we are going to have any meaningful healthcare reform in the U.S. it has to start with protections of a person’s ability to contract individually with their HC provider.

  4. Unless you have to prove it, I would just tell them you have it when you don't. It is none of their concern anyway…

Or you could try calling Anthem Blue Cross /Blue shield or Aetna for individual coverage. They usually have TV ads for open enrollment this time of year…but not necessarily cheap. Or you could ask your car insurance agent if they know of any coverage from the same company for health insurance and you might get a break for having the insurance at the same company and maybe get it with a high deductible to save money…still might not be cheap….

You might be able to get by with siging a waver of liability to the school that you will not sue them if you catch an illness in the course of your schooling??

  5. funny how canadians, and pretty much every other industrialized countries who have single payer, think otherwise… and they’ve had it for decades…

  6. Yes republics and some democrats want to keep the insurance industry cash cow this is how they stay in power, the republics and some democrats work for big business. This is why the republicans go after the Unions, Unions fund the democrats because some of them work for the meddle class. The middle class out numbers the upper class so the big business power base that runs our government with money, dont want people to organize.

  7. As long as you keep asking these vague questions, you'll never get intelligent responses.

  8. Sure once employers stop stagnating wages.

  9. try using cucumber on yr eye…. slide a thin slide n put it on yr eye every nite b4 u go to sleep for abt 10-15min…it help…n aso dun drink any water 3-4 hr b4 yr bed time

  10. Loosing weight and keeping it off is a big concern for many people.

One of the hardest parts is staying motivated and for this a physical trainer can help.

A gym or fitness center will probably be the best way to find a qualified trainer.

Check out your local gyms first and see if any are running any specials. Often times you can get a free trial at the gym.

If they do not offer a free trial, then you should ask to speak with one of the trainers. This way you can get an idea of how they will be able to help you and access their competence.

The hardest part is getting out and doing it, but you will feel much better about yourself in the end if you stick with it.

  11. The Truth Ministry sent ED to straighten us all out.

  12. In a deregulated market, I could get catastrophic health insurance in case something like that happened. Currently, that is not allowed in my state thanks to government regulations. That is actual insurance, not the managed care plans that people have started to call insurance these days.

  13. Co-ops are crap. Do some research.
It’s also still government run if the government will give it start-up money.
Why not have single payer and avoid a huge waste of Americans tax dollars?

  14. washing hands, brushing teeth, taking showers

  15. I’m not sure anyone knows why we arent going for single payer. The opposition to it doesnt even seem to know exactly why they are opposing it. I think we all know it’s inevitable and that the opposition has deeper more sinister issues for opposing it…

  16. A reasonable price is $250 a month. You can get this through your school most easily, and cheaper, too. Being an international student, most US health carriers are NOT going to want to cover you.

You ALSO might be able to find it in your country of residence. Or you can ask them if they'll waive it, because you can't find a provider willing to take you.

  17. If we had the gold standard, less regulation, and a less corrupt cartel of medical schooling, health insurance would be much cheaper. People would not be forced to pay or be covered.

If you don’t want it, you don’t have to have it.
